Two New Bedford men face firearms and motor vehicle charges following a drive by shooting incident and car chase Monday night. 

Teigan Pina and Cory Hayden, both 25 years old, were arrested Monday night.  Police say the suspect's car was seen leaving the scene of a shooting on Myrtle St. Monday night.  Police say three bullets had been fired into an unoccupied car. 

Officers chased the car through several city neighborhoods, before stopping the vehicle on Brock Avenue.  Both Pina and Hayden were taken into custody, and Police found several shell casings in the vehicle, but no gun was located. 

Det. Sgt. Dean Fredericks told the Standard Times, the shooting may have been related to another drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon at Hazard Court and Austin St. 

Both Pina and Hayden have been charged with carrying a loaded firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 ft. of a dwelling, and malicious destruction of property .
