Two Arrested In New Bedford Drug Raid

New Bedford's Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau arrest two suspects in connection with an alleged heroin delivery service operated out of Apartment #1 at 28 Sidney Street.

Detectives carried out a search warrant Monday night at the apartment, and found 50 grams of heroin and $384 in cash.

Police say the drugs had a street value of $5,000.

Arrested was 22 year old Willy Ruiz Baez of 28 Sidney Street. He's charged with drug trafficking and other violations. Also arrested was Shane Rapoza. He's charged with drug possession.

A woman found in the apartment will be summonsed into court.

Police say Baez has outstanding warrants in Roxbury and Taunton. In Roxbury he's wanted on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon . He's also wanted in Taunton in connection with an armed robbery and kidnapping case.
