Large surf, waves, swells, and dangerous rip currents will have an impact on our coast starting Sunday and extending through Monday and Tuesday.

According to ABC 6, a Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The service is advising small boats and fishing vessels to stay out of waters south of New England.

Winds of 25-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected. The service is also warning of a dangerous storm surge beginning early Sunday afternoon.

Forecasters say Hermine could strengthen back into a hurricane Monday through Wednesday as it moves on an offshore path from the waters of Maryland to Connecticut.
