Three people are facing drug charges after a search warrant was executed Tuesday night.

New Bedford Police say the search warrant was executed for possible heroin activity around 6:40 p.m. by the narcotics unit at 118 Sycamore St. third floor.

The suspects are identified as 24-year-old Rafael Mota-Martinez of 318 Court St., New Bedford, who was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, conspiracy to violate drug laws and carrying weapons (a knife.)

The second suspect 51-year-old Bryan Nadeau of 118 Sycamore St. Apt. 3 in New Bedford was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of heroin with intent to distribute (second offense.)

The third suspect, 55-year-old Ana Donovan, of 311 Ames St., Fall River, was charged with possession of Suboxone with intent to distribute.

New Bedford Police say they were tipped off by residents about suspicious activity in the area.
