Roosevelt Middle School officials found a note Tuesday inside the school threatening the building.

School spokesman Jonathan Carvalho says police were called just after 8am.

Officers considered the threat low level and non-specific, but decided to conduct a sweep of the building. Nothing was found, and the school day continued as usual.

Supt. Dr. Pia Durkin says safety of students and staff is a priority, and the school staff followed the advice of the police in responding to the threat.
