Teachers Protest Innovation School Plan In New Bedford [AUDIO]
October 16, 2012 Dozens of teachers appeared Monday night before the New Bedford School Committee, urging board members to vote against plans for two innovation schools slated to open next year in New Bedford. One school is planned for Gomes Elementary. The second would be located at Roosevelt Middle School. Teacher Elaine Santos believes innovation schools will send the wrong message to students.
