Actress Lauren Bacall Dies at 89

The "Bacall" of "Bogie and Bacall" has died. A family member says screen legend Lauren Bacall passed away Tuesday after suffering a stroke. She was 89. Known for her sultry looks and husky voice, Bacall became one of film noir's most famous leading ladies starring in several movies in the 1950s with fellow screen legend and late husband Humphrey Bogart

Legendary actress and activist Ruby Dee has died. A rep says Dee passed away Wednesday night surrounded by family at her home in New Rochelle, New York. She was 91.

1950′s Crooner Jerry Vale Dies

Singer Jerry Vale has died.

"The New York Times" says the singer, who was prominent in the 1950s and '60s, passed away at his Palm Desert, California home on Sunday at the age of 83.

Vale, who's best remembered for the songs "Volare" and "You Don't Know Me," began his singing career as a teenager performing in clubs near his Bronx, New York hometown
