Support Your Local Police Because They Support You [OPINION]

When the thugs and clowns attack police officers, they are also attacking you and me and our nation. America sleeps soundly because of our police officers.

Do you have a gun, body armor, a radio to call for armed backup, and the training of a police officer? Of course you don't have all of that, if you even have some of it. Keep that in mind when you learn that someone who does, a local police officer, is attacked by a criminal. What would that criminal do to you given that they are willing to attack a well-trained police officer?

The war on police is real and it is a war on you and me. This week a police officer in the lovely town of Acushnet was violently attacked. All suspects are assumed to be innocent until proven guilty, but according to the media and police reports the suspect allegedly attacked a lone officer and attempted to gain control of the officer's firearm.

It would be irresponsible to discount the current anti-police environment as a motive in this alleged assault on the police officer. We have been fed a constant diet of verbal and physical attacks on police by the mainstream media along with an excuse for the attacks by left-wing political activists. We have never seen a combination of media personalities working in tandem with violent terrorists in our country.

What would have happened in Acushnet had the suspect gained control of the police officer's handgun?
