Acushnet Father And Son Found Guilty Of Lesser Charges In Assault Case

A Fall River Superior Court Jury has returned guilty verdicts against a father and son from Acushnet related to the beating of a Taunton man who was left with permanent injuries. 

According to the District Attorney's Office, 55-year-old Christopher Adams and 28-year-old Jacob Adams were found guilty of unarmed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery, but they were acquitted on the most serious charge, assault and battery resulting in serious bodily harm

Special Acushnet Town Meeting Eliminates Board Of Public Works

 

The Town of Acushnet has taken steps to eliminate the town's Board of Public Works, and turn over their responsibilities to the Board of Selectmen. 

A special Town Meeting voted 125-35 Monday night to change the town's charter, and wipe the B-P-W off the books.
