The next stop for the solar plane in its journey around the world is Phoenix, Arizona.

The plane landed in Hawaii this morning after completing a record-breaking non-stop flight from Japan. The Solar Impulse 2 landed on Oahu shortly before 6 a.m. today, following a five-day solo flight across the Pacific.

Swiss pilot Andre Borschberg easily shattered the old record for a non-stop flight with his 120-hour voyage. The Solar Impulse began its around-the-world trek in Abu Dhabi on March 9th. (Metro Networks Inc.)
