Has anyone else noticed how a video will automatically start playing once you scroll passed it on your Facebook newsfeed? Yea, that little change may be the reason you wanted to toss your phone bill out the window last month. Apparently there's a setting which allows the video to "autoplay" on your smartphone, and users risk maxing out their data plans until it's fixed.

Lucky for you, I did the leg work to figure out how to manage this default setting.

Fellow iPhone users:

1. Click on your "Settings" app and scroll down to "Facebook."

2. Go to "Settings," and search for "Auto-play."

3. Choose "Wi-Fi only" or "Off." This allows the videos to play automatically as long as you are connected to Wi-Fi, but won't drain your data!

On Android:

1. Go to your Facebook app and click on "Account Settings."

2. Tap "App Settings,"

3. Choose 'Auto-play only on Wi-Fi' or 'Off.'

You're welcome!
