Pope Francis is marking his first Christmas Mass as leader of the Roman Catholic Church.  He's holding the Mass at a packed St. Peter's Basilica at Vatican City.

Earlier today, he met with his predecessor, Pope Emeritus Benedict.  Benedict is the first pope in 600 years to resign.

It has been a stunning year for the newly installed Pope Francis.  His humility and dedication to the plight of the poor have resonated with the world.  He was recently named "Time" magazine's Person of the Year. (Metro Networks Inc.)
