FALL RIVER — A joint effort between the New Bedford Police Narcotics Division and Fall River Police resulted in crack cocaine and marijuana being taken off the streets Wednesday.

A little before 1 p.m. Tuesday, a search warrant was executed at 47 St. Joseph Street, Apartment 3S, in Fall River. Police initially found 9.3 grams of crack, and discovered an additional 16.6 grams during the investigation. Police also seized four pounds of marijuana and $2,870 in cash.

Police arrested 21-year-old Devin Nickerson, a resident of the apartment, as well as Diluary Serrano of 201 Cottage Street in Fall River. Both men were charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and possession of Class B and D drugs with intent to distribute. Nickerson was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
