A New Bedford man is under arrest after taking the phrase "light a match" to the next level.

Fairhaven Police Sgt. Kevin Kobza says on the night of July 21, Police and Fire Departments responded to four different fires, including one at a portable outhouse behing the Hastings Middle School.

While investigating the fires, police encountered 44-year-old Jason Majocka of New Bedford, and later found footage of Majocka in surveillance video from the middle school.

A search warrant was obtained and executed Thursday night at Majocka's Hope Street address. Majocka was taken into custody at that time and arraigned in Third District Court on four counts of arson.
