Police in Standoff Situation With Wareham Man [UPDATE]

Wareham Police and State Police have told us that the standoff has ended with the suspect in custody.

Update 7:00pm - Trooper Kenneth Gaetz says the suspect was taken into custody around 6pm. Its not known if he had a gun or not. We’ll have more details as they become available.

According to reports, the Wareham Police and State Police have been involved in a standoff with a man who has barricaded himself in a home with a gun.

Wareham Village Soup reports that all neighbors in the area have been evacuated because they are unclear if the man has a weapon or not. A libe of police cars and K-9 units can be seen on Sandwich Rd. The man is believed to be in the Ladd Rd. area.
