New Bedford Man Charged In 2nd Robbery

A New Bedford man already in police custody is charged in a second robbery.

According to Detective Captain Steve Vicente, 33-year old Steven Diaz Hernandez was arrested Wednesday night for robbing the Continental Market convenience store last Friday.

Hernandez is now charged in a seperate robbery of the Xtra-Mart store last Wednesday, after witnesses positively identified him.

Hernandez now faces two counts of unarmed robbery in New Bedford District Court.
