Memorial Service Planned For Fernando Garcia

A long time businessman and community leader will be remembered later this month with a memorial service at Bristol Community College in Fall River.

Fernando Garcia of New Bedford died Tuesday following a long battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.

Garcia was a member of many civic organizations and for many years was President of Fall River Ford. In 2012, Governor Deval Patrick appointed Garcia the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at B-C-C.

A memorial service to remember Garcia will be held on Friday, May 30th at 10am in the main auditorium at Bristol Community College. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home.
