Massachusetts State Police Arrest 19 More In Southeastern Highway Crackdown

Week two of stepped up State Police patrols on Rts 24 and 195 in Southeastern Massachusetts nets ten more drunk drivers. State Police arrested six impaired drivers Friday night into Saturday, and four more Saturday into Sunday. Among those arrested were Iris Acevedo of New Bedford, Paulo Medeiros and Timothy Temple of Fall River, Deborah Truesdale of Mattapoisett, Robert Nicodemisen of Acushnet, Blaine Bartlett of Lakeville, and Cheryl Robbins of Middleborough. Patrol surge troopers also made nine non-OUI arrests, issued three criminal summons, and wrote 262 citations. 47 truckers were also issued speeding tickets over the weekend.
