Lakeville voters have given their approval to a $900,000 dollar request to upgrade the regional school district's outdated technology system. During a special election over the weekend, voters approved the request by a 65% to 35% margin. Just over 11% of the town's 7,000 registered voters cast a ballot in the election. The request now goes before Freetown voters on September 24th.  Both Lakeville and Freetown must approve the request for the project to move forward.
