Lakeville Crash Sends Teen To Hospital
A young man is hospitalized after a serious three-vehicle crash in Lakeville.
Yesterday around 3 p.m. police and fire were dispatched to the area of Rt. 79 and Crooked Lane. An 18-year-old driver was still in his vehicle with an "obvious head injury," according to an email from Lakeville Fire Chief Michael O'Brien. The injured driver was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital.
Four people in two other vehicles refused transport, O'Brien said.
The fire department did not say which vehicle the injured teen was driving, but photos from the scene show a sedan and a pickup truck, each with front-end damage. Scanner audio indicates the teen suffered serious and potentially traumatic head injury.
