Close by yet world's away, we have 55 wild and scenic acres at the south end of Dartmouth with the Lloyd Center for the Environment. It is home to six beautiful nature trails that gently pass through nature's  home. Discover Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, home to some famous birdwatchers with their binoculars and hikers alike who come prepared to be pleasantly surprised by rare birds, plants and wildlife. Explore the area on the extensive Quansett Trail system, that's divided into four loops that promise to please the curious hiker.

Off the mainland, you'd enjoy hiking through the Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge, Wasque Reservation in Edgartown on the infamous Chappaquiddick Island near Martha's Vineyard. Or you may want to hike the miles of trails through marsh meadows and natural preserves along Martha's Vineyard's north shore with gorgeous scenic views at the Cedar Tree Neck Wildlife Sanctuary in West Tisbury, Mass. Trails that are local, magnificent and waiting for you to explore! Come on, let's hike local.
