Frustrated Robber Takes Entire Register From New Bedford Bakery

A frustrated robber ends up stealing an entire cash register in New Bedford Thursday night.

According to Det. Cap. Steven Vicente, the man walked into Sara's Bakery on Acushnet Avenue and threatened the female clerk with a knife, demanding money.

The clerk tried opening the register, but the man grew impatient, went behind the counter, and tried to open it himself. The suspect could not get the register open, so he unplugged the machine and took it with him.

The suspect is described only as a male, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, a black mask and gloves.
