Three teenagers are lucky to be alive after their 17 foot power boat capsized late Sunday morning off North Cove on West Island in Fairhaven. The unidentified boys had their boat overturn and plunge them into the 55 degree water. They swam to shore and went to a nearby home for help. They weren't wearing life jackets at the time of the accident.

Fairhaven Police and Fire Rescue were called to the home and one of the boys was taken to St. Luke's for treatment of hypothermia. The other 2 were picked up by their parents. The partially submerged boat was towed back to shore by Towboats U S A.
