Fairhaven Boat Fire Under Investigation

Firefighters from both Fairhaven and New Bedford worked together to douse a boat fire early Thursday afternoon at the Moby Dick Marina off River Avenue. 

Fairhaven Fire Department spokesman Wayne Olivera tells WBSM News, the fire was reported just before 1pm.....

It took less than a half an hour for firefighters to extinguish the fire.  The boat was a total loss.  The name of the owner was not available.  Smoke from the fire could be seen from several miles away.
