Deputy Shot By Inmate at Massachusetts Ear and Eye Infirmary
After being treated at a Boston hospital, an inmate has shot a Deputy Sheriff after attempting to take his gun.
Fox 25 reports that on Wednesday two Deputy Sheriffs took an inmate to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear infirmary for treatment. When the one Deputy removed the inmates handcuffs, he began to struggle.
During the struggle the inmate grabbed the officer's gun, and shot him in the leg. It was at that time that the other Deputy shot the inmate, and sources say the shot critically wounded him.
The Deputy is in stable conditions, and his injuries were non-life threatening.
