A Deleware tall ship is docked at New Bedford State Pier for the weekend.

The Kalmar Nyckel is an authentic re-creation of a 17th century Dutch vessel that brought some of the nation's earliest settlers to the colonies.

Captain Lauren Morgans tells WBSM's Mid-Day Live, the Kalmar Nyckel has been to New Bedford twice before, in 2008 and 2010...taking refuge behind the seaport's Hurricane Barrier.

Three hour sailing trips are scheduled for this weekend.  The charge is $60 for adults and $40 for children under 17.

To make reservations,  you can call the Foundation office at 302 429-7447.
