Cost Trimmed For New Acushnet Police Station
Some good news for Acushnet taxpayers. The town’s Finance Committee has agreed to commit $500,000 in free cash toward the cost of a new Police Station. That now trims the overall cost of the station from $5.7 to $5.2 million. Acushnet Selectman Chair David Wojnar.

Wojnar says the new Police Station is a “no frills” project, that is much needed. The Acushnet Police headquarters is currently located in the antiquated Parting Ways Building. Town Meeting will consider the Police Station project on Monday, 7pm at the Ford Middle School.
