Over 1,500 freshmen will be preparing for their first college experience at UMass Dartmouth this weekend.

The incoming Class of 2018 will be moving into their dorm rooms on Sunday afternoon. University spokesman John Hoey tells WBSM News it should be a relatively smooth move.

Chancellor Divina Grossman will be on hand to meet new students and their parents late Sunday morning.

Hoey says the new students come from 18 states and 33 countries.
