The City of Brockton is reeling after two people were murdered in a span of seven hours.

21-year old Elson Miranda was shot twice in the chest Friday while sitting inside the lit bar on Ames Street. Police tell The Brockton Enterprise said Miranda was still conscious after the shooting but died of his injuries at a local hospital a short time later.

Police have no suspects at this time but tell the paper the shooting is not connected to a fatal stabbing that occurred some seven hours earlier.

The unidentified man was found with multiple stab wounds on a green street doorstep early Friday morning.19-year old Terrance Terrell Richardson was arrested later in the day at his home and charged with the murder. He faces arraignment in Brockton District Court Monday.
