Boston Celtics’ Rajon Rondo Has Torn His ACL
Bad news for the Boston Celtics. They will be without Rajon Rondo for of the season as he has torn his ACL.
An hour before Sunday's highly anticipated match up against the Miami Heat, it was learned that Rajon Rondo would not be playing. According to reports from the ABC broadcast team, Rondo tried to participate in shoot-arounds earlier on Sunday, but his knee was giving him trouble. It has been confirmed by Celtics' doctors that after an MRI, he has torn his ACL.
The team was just hoping that he hyper-extended his knee in the Friday loss to the Hawks, but it appears to be far worse. The date of surgery has yet to be determined.
