Acushnet Accident

An unidentified man suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday night in a single-car crash on Lake Street in Acushnet.  Fire Chief Kevin Gallagher says the man, who was the only one involved in the crash, was ejected from his vehicle. Witnesses reported the car had rolled over several times. The victim was taken to a trauma center at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Acushnet Police are investigating the cause of the accident.  Lake Street was closed for approximately two hours after the incident.
