Melissa Wadman is a friend of mine who works at Boston University. She was taking the morning bus to work on Friday, September 15th when she witnessed what she describes as "acute, direct racism." You can read her account of the event on her Facebook post below.  (Some strong language).

Wadman followed through with her promise to issue a formal complaint to the MBTA, as well as the Mayor and Governor's offices. She has shared with me a copy of the exact letter that she has forwarded to both offices. She continues to gain comments and shares on the post, from members who agree with her final line: "In a world that is already so cruel, why anyone would feel the need to pour gasoline on the fire is beyond me. I've never been more embarrassed of my city."
