A Fall River man is facing his second OUI charge after he was seen driving the wrong way down Route 6.

Massachusetts State Police say they received numerous reports Sunday night regarding a wrong way driver on the westbound side of Route 6 in Sandwich.

A trooper spotted the vehicle, identified as a Honda Civic, after it had made a U-turn and was now travelling westbound on Route 6 West.

The Civic was stopped just before Exit 1 in Bourne.

After an investigation the driver, identified as 44-year-old Salustriano Dasilva, was placed under arrest for the following charges: Operating under the influence of alcohol, 2nd offense; Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense; Reckless operation of a motor vehicle; and Wrong way on state highway

Dasilva was booked at the Bourne barracks then transferred to the Barnstable House of Correction where he is being held on a $2,500 bail.
