Lots going on this weekend in New Bedford. The 12th annual Working Waterfront Festival is Saturday and Sunday.  The Festival is a celebration of the Commercial Fishing Industry.

Organizer Laura Orleans says a new event this year is a fishing gear fashion show. It's something she's wanted to do since year one. "We have at least 15 models, many of them active, young fishermen. We're also looking at how fishing gear changed over time, different gear for different fisheries, safety gear of course, and the latest cutting edge gear and the stores that sell it," said Orleans.

Also on the list of activities is free entertainment, cooking demonstrations, a tugboat muster, and on Sunday a Seafood Throwdown takes place where area chefs prepare meals using lesser known seafood species.

The Festival runs from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday and admission is free.
