Women Found Dead In Brockton, Worcester, Children Found Nearby

Police in Brockton are investigating after a 13-month-old baby was found in a city motel room snuggling against a dead woman's body.

 Authorities believe the woman died of a drug overdose and don't consider the death suspicious.

The woman's body was found by emergency crews at a Super 8 yesterday afternoon.

 Police say the baby was found cuddled up against the body.

No names were released and authorities did not disclose the relationship between the child and the woman. (Associated Press)

Also, two young kids are safe in protective custody, after they were left home alone with their mother's dead body.

The Worcester woman was found deceased inside her apartment Friday night.

The 35-year-old woman was found by the landlord looking for rent and cops now say she died of a drug overdose.

Her three- and five-year-old children were inside with her. They were unharmed, but it's believed they were alone for nearly a week. A search for the father continues. (Metro Networks Inc.)
