A suspect has been charged in a four year old armed robbery case.

The robbery took place at the Comcast payment center in Fairhaven in November, 2011.

Witness told Police, the robber was a man armed with a gun and wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.

A short time later a man acting suspiciously entered the Walgreens store in Fairhaven. Police say that person generally matched the desciption of the suspect in the Comcast robbery. However that person had long blond hair and was wearing female make up.

Sgt. Kevin Kobza picks up the investigation from there. "After the robbery at Comcast, its believed the suspect discarded some clothing in the area of Walgreens and what was then the Narragansett Cafe," said Kobza.

"The clothing was sent to the State Crime Lab where they obtained some DNA evidence and identified a suspect," he added.

It turns out the suspect was a woman; 25 year old Devyn Stone.

A Grand Jury recently handed down an indictment and Stone was arrested on Tuesday at State and Maxfield Streets in New Bedford by the Bristol County Sheriff's Apprehension Team.
