In a heartwarming display of kindness and community spirit, Casey Brown, a 7-year-old boy from Westport, is stepping up to help his baby cousin, Charlotte, who is facing serious medical issues six days after her birth.

Charlotte was born on July 25 and quickly encountered complications with her breathing. She was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where she is on a ventilator and receiving antibiotics to combat a lung infection. With an uncertain timeline for her recovery, the family is taking things day by day.

To support Charlotte and her family during this challenging time, Casey decided to host a lemonade stand on Friday, August 2, noon to sunset, at 32 Chabot Street, Westport. His goal is to raise funds to assist with medical and hotel bills, providing much-needed relief to his cousin's family.
