Weather Blast Brings Reports of Tornadoes

Some wild weather Tuesday afternoon on the SouthCoast. In Greater New Bedford, there was thunder and lightning and torrential rains, off and on, throughout the afternoon and early evening.

Elsewhere in the region, there was a report of a tornado touching down in Raynham and another near the Cape Cod Canal. The photo above was submitted by Kristen Harrison, and it certainly looks like a funnel cloud!

Numerous auto accidents were also reported on area highways, but no serious injuries.
