Warrant Issued For New Bedford Man Wanted For Murder

The Bristol County District Attorney says a murder warrant has been issued for a New Bedford man wanted for the fatal shooting of 23-year old Reynaldo Pena of New Bedford on November 11.

Pena was found lying on the ground in the 800-block of Shawmut Avenue during the early morning hours of November 11. He had been shot multiple times. Pena died several hours later at Rhode Island Hospital.

Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in locating 30-year old Alexis Silva of New Bedford. He is wanted for murder and several other firearms-related charges.

The public is urged not to approach or attempt to apprehend Silva. He's considered to be armed and dangerous.
