Vintage Railroad Apparatus Removed From Carver’s Edaville Family Theme Park
CARVER (WBSM) — As the fate of Carver’s Edaville Family Theme Park remains uncertain, pieces of the park’s history are being removed and taken elsewhere in order to make room for the relocating King Richard’s Faire.
Earlier today, King Richard’s Faire put out a press release regarding its relocation to the Edaville property after the new owners of the Faire also reportedly purchased Edaville. WBSM was first to report last month of the park’s sale and the Faire’s impending move.

Today’s release said Edaville will “experience a transformation” that would bring “new enchantment for guests but also continuing its tradition of Christmas and holiday light magic in December.”
“Edaville will add exciting entertainment, and delicious foods and beverage options, as well as expand its festive holiday marketplace,” according to the release.

Many of the park’s amusement rides are set to be auctioned off next month on the Edaville property, and it appears the former operators of the park are now removing old rail equipment from the site in order to find new homes for them.

Maine Locomotive & Machine Works, which is owned by former Edaville operating partner Brian Fanslau, posted photos and video to its Facebook page showing the removal of some of the standard-gauge rail apparatus that was situated throughout the park.
This includes the Wolfeboro Railroad 2-6-2 No. 50 steam engine and its tender, which is headed for the Grafton & Upton Railroad that is owned by Jon Delli Priscoli, who was also the owner of Edaville.
Also being removed was the kids’ caboose, which had served as an activity center and in other roles for Edaville in recent years, including as a sensory-friendly area.
