SOMERSET — Somerset Police arrested four Vermont men at their hotel on Saturday on firearms charges following a fight in the parking lot, according to a release from the department.

Christopher Campbell, 23, of Fairfax, VT, 19-year-old Eric Davis and 18-year-old Devin Mullis, both of Milton, VT, and 20-year-old Dominick Smiel of Winooski, VT were each arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a large capacity firearm and ammunition on June 5.

Police said that around 8 p.m. Saturday officers responded to the Riverview Inn & Suites on Wilbur Avenue after a 911 call reported a man being beaten by other males in the parking lot.

According to police the men had fled the scene when officers arrived, but an on-scene investigation determined that the 17-year-old juvenile victim from Vermont and the four suspects were known to each other.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police said the investigating officers conducted a "knock and talk" at the suspects' hotel room.

During a search of the room, police said they found a loaded pistol under one of the beds. All four men were arrested at the hotel.

The release stated that additional charges related to the drugs that were seized are pending.

The four men were expected to be arraigned today in Fall River District Court.
