UMD Chancellor Candidates Visiting Campus This Week
UMass President Marty Meehan has invited the three finalists for UMass Dartmouth Chancellor position to visit the campus. The three finalists will meet with students, faculty and staff, as well as community leaders, from March 1st through the 3rd.
Becker College President Dr. Robert E. Johnson will visit on Wednesday, March 1.
Dr. Philip K. Way, the Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Slippery Rock University, will be on campus on Thursday.
Dr. James P. Lenitini, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at Oakland University, will visit Friday.
The three finalists were identified by the UMD Chancellor Search committee on February 22, concluding a search that began last September. Meehan will use feedback from the campus sessions when making a final recommendation to the Board of Trustees as to who should be appointed to the chancellor position.
