UMass Dartmouth students are being warned about a pair of incidents, one on campus grounds, the other in Downtown New Bedford.

The University's Department of Public Safety says a female student notified them Monday afternoon about a man who was indecently exposing himself near Lot 17 on the Dartmouth campus.

Officers responded, but failed to locate the suspect. The man was described as an Hispanic or Cape Verdean male, about five feet, seven inches tall, wearing a dark blue UMass Dartmouth sweatshirt with gold lettering.

Also, New Bedford Police notified the Public Safety Department that a woman was reportedly accosted in Downtown New Bedford on October 15th near the Star Store campus.

The woman was able to fight off her attacker, and he ran off. He's described as a white male in his 40's or 50's, wearng a green jacket. No further information was available.
