
U.S. Creates 292,000 Jobs In December
The Labor Department says employers added 292-thousand jobs in December as the unemployment rate held steady at five percent.
The figure was much higher than economists expected.
The monthly jobs report shows the biggest employment gains in professional and business services, construction and health care.
The average American's hourly wages fell a penny to 25-dollars-and-24 cents.
