Two people are dead including the gunman and several injured following a shooting at a Nevada middle school.  There's no official word on the ages of the two dead victims, but an earlier report indicated one was 12 years old.  Several people are hospitalized and two victims are said to be minors in critical condition.  The shooter reportedly killed himself.

There's no word on the identity of the victims or the shooter.  Parents started arriving at the school earlier to pick up their children as emergency vehicles lined the streets.  The school is in Sparks, Nevada just east of Reno.

Shots reportedly rang out on the campus around 7 a.m. local time as students were heading into class.  The school was placed on lockdown during the incident.  A nearby middle school is also closed this morning.
