A community meeting Tuesday night looks to garner support for raising the minimum wage in Massachusetts.

The meeting is part of the Raise Up Massachusetts campaign, and will call on elected officials to raise the minimum wage to at least $10.50/hr, while tying the minimum wage to the cost of living.

Rachel Mulroy, an organizer with the Coalition for Social Justice tells WBSM News there's an overwhelming amount of workers earning very low wages.

Mulroy says the campaign also looks to gain support for earned sick time for part-time workers.

The community briefing takes place Tuesday night at 6pm at the Buttonwood Senior Center in New Bedford.
