Two people are injured after their pickup truck got hit by a tourist train on Cape Cod. The train was hauling sightseers Sunday through the town of Sandwich when the train and truck collided. None of the 56 train passengers was seriously injured.

According to Cape Cod Online, the truck Mary Cate Doherty, depot manager and tour director for the Hyannis-based railroad company, said that the truck tried to get across the tracks before the train. The authorities could not confirm that report.

The 17-year-old truck driver and his 13-year-old passenger were taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
