School officials across the state are investigating after several bomb threats were called in.

The Boston Globe is reporting that threats were called into school districts in Arlington, Weymouth, Plymouth, Taunton, and Billerica.

Some of the calls were reported to be robocalls and the State Fire Marshal’s Office says they have responded to roughly a dozen threats.

Taunton school officials say they have received a message on their voicemail shortly after 11 p.m.

Superintendent Julie Hackett says it was determined that the voicemail message was "general in nature, not specific to Taunton, and, therefore, did not warrant an evacuation."

However, Hackett says there will be an increased police presence at all 13 schools in the district.

Arlington High School went into lockdown around 9 a.m. after receiving a threat and began a controlled early release.

Other districts that received threats investigated the incident but opted to remain open.

The State Fire Marshal's Office has confirmed to WBSM News that no explosive devices were found.

This follows another series of threats which targeted schools last week.
