The Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum is reopening on Thursday, July 9 after closing in March due to the novel coronavirus. RJD announced the news on the website, stating that “The Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum will reopen as part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts “Phase 3” reopening plan on Thursday, July 9, at 1 p.m."

COVID-19 protocols are in place to keep everyone safe and healthy. Visitors are asked:

  • To schedule their visit by phone or online;
  • To wear a mask at the Museum;
  • To physically distance while on Museum property;
  • To stay home if experiencing symptoms of the virus.

RJD posted about the reopening on Facebook, elaborating on plans further.

“In addition to the gardens being open, visitors to the 1834 historic house will find reconfigured exhibit spaces, sanitation stations, and policies to protect visitors and volunteers, including mask-wearing, some brief questions about their health, and physical distancing.

The RJD will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In July, weekday hours between 10 a.m. and noon will be dedicated to members’ reservations. Also, during the month of July, essential workers and their families will receive free admission.

Visitors must book their visits in advance, using a scheduling tool available on the RJD website.”
