The Mystery Of The Blue On Air Light

Sometimes it's the little things that make you shake your head. I started the show this morning as I always do and then Traffic Guy Larry walked in and asked, "How long as your ON AIR light been blue?"

If you've never seen the ON AIR light, it's a light that's right by the studio door that lights up when you turn the microphone on so that people will see it and not walk in on you. It's ALWAYS RED! It's been red for as long as I've been in this business. Today.....it's BLUE! I don't know why. I figure we ran out of red light bulbs and our studio engineer could only find blue ones.

Larry is now calling us "Smurf Radio."
